This
old building, overlooking the Lake , remains virtually unchanged
from its past as a refreshment stand during the heyday of
Lake Ronkonkoma during the 1930s and 1940s. The kitchen
appliances have been removed, shelves have been added and
thousands of used paperback books in every category have
been brought in to fill them. Truly, the book store with
a view which changes daily with the weather and quarterly
with the seasons.
Remember,
"a book is like a friend, because when you read, you
feel close to someone." |
